We're looking for dedicated, well-rounded individuals who are enthusiastic about the practice of law, but who also maintain interests outside of school and work. At Gowlings we're all about the team, so we want people who recognize the value of teamwork, but who can also work independently when the occasion calls for it. |

The atmosphere at Gowlings is best described as professional and informal. More than a leading law firm, Gowlings is a community of professionals…a community in which every individual contributes and every idea counts. Gowlings people work together to achieve meaningful results for our clients. Beyond providing our students with professional growth opportunities, we also encourage them to develop social connections. We make time for friendships and organize numerous and various social activities for both our summer and our articling students. |

Our commitment to all students includes a competitive salary based on the Ottawa market rate for articling students. Articling students also receive a competitive articling bonus a few weeks following the articling recruitment period. When they begin their articling program, students receive generous medical and dental benefits and two weeks' paid vacation. In addition, we pay the Bar Admission Course tuition fee for our articling students, as well as their salary during the teaching term. We also pay the student fee for membership in the Canadian Bar Association for each of our articling students. |

Further, we assist each of the students leaving the firm to make the transition to the next stage of their professional careers. |
