Gowlings Hamilton generally hires three students for each articling term. Each articling student goes through three rotations of approximately equal length: business/technology law, advocacy and banking litigation.

Students are assigned a Principal to supervise their progress. Whenever possible, students are allowed an opportunity to focus on their practice area of choice. Over the course of the articling term, each student is given the opportunity to work with all of our professionals. As a result, each member of our team becomes familiar with each student and the quality of his or her work.
