Gowlings Calgary office typically hires three summer students each year. Applications are accepted only from second year students and hiring decisions are made in November for commencement of summer employment in early May. Summer students are exposed to a wide array of interesting and challenging work in all of our three practice areas during their tenure and have the opportunity to meet and work with many of our lawyers. Applications are received until early September (all universities outside of Alberta) and early October (University of Calgary and University of Alberta) and interviews are typically held in September and October.
